Hutchings Career Center will host a Parent/Student Eighth Grade Open House on
Thursday, May 10, from 5-7 p.m. Applications to attend Hutchings will also be available during the Open House.
Visitors to Hutchings will see the school's career pathway labs and classrooms in automotive technology, culinary arts, flight operations, healthcare science, interactive media and small business development. Starting in 2012-2013, Hutchings will be one of only four high schools in Georgia to offer a Travel Marketing & Lodging Management Career Pathway.
Recently, students from each of the District's seven middle schools toured Hutchings Career Center as part of the District's "Smooth Move" high school preview.
In addition to being open to any rising ninth grade student, all current high school students in Bibb County may apply for admission to Hutchings Career Center with transportation provided countywide.
