Event to Celebrate Life of Frederick Douglass

The Mentors Project and the Tubman African American Museum will host a "The Life of Frederick Douglass by K. Carl Smith" on Wednesday, February 15, from 6-8 p.m. at the Douglass Theatre. Smith will speak about the struggles and successes of Frederick Douglass.
"Mr. Douglass was very successful despite the many obstacles, roadblocks and barriers that he worked to overcome. He continues to be a role model and example," said Mentors Project Executive Director June O'Neal.
Free parking will be available for the event in the Gateway Parking Deck.
