Rutland Middle to Host Science Night

The Science Department at Rutland Middle School has invited students from local colleges and universities to showcase fun science activities for all ages as well as information related to Science Fair during the school's Science Night on Monday, October 17, from 4-6 p.m. The event is free to attend and is open to parents and students in sixth through eighth grades at each of the District's schools.
"This is a family event that will surely be fun and inspire creativity as it relates to science education," said Rutland Middle School teacher Shiona Drummer. "There will be activities for people of all ages to participate in and enjoy."
The purpose of the event is to get students excited about exploring science, Drummer said. During the event, representatives from Macon State College, Wesleyan College, and Georgia College & State University will demonstrate hands-on, real-world science activities for all ages.
